Independent Competent Climber course
Open to 14 - 17yrs old Registered climbers
We know life gets busy, and parents can’t always be on hand to supervise their young climbers. That’s why we’re offering our ROCKSTAR+ Independent Competent Climber Course for 14–17-year-olds!
This course ensures candidates develop a solid understanding of climbing risks and safety while demonstrating their ability to climb confidently and competently. Once completed, successful climbers can enjoy independent climbing at Ennisrock—no parental supervision required! So while they climb, parents can take a well-earned break or tackle that never-ending to-do list.
Course Requirements
Course is open to those aged 14-17 years old and already registered to climb with EnnisRock
If you are not yet registered please complete registration first by clicking the Register To Climb link in the top menu before booking.
Course is a 2 day course run consecutively on Mondays and Thursdays evening from
19:00 -21:00.
Cost : £45 per candidate.
In order to complete the course all candidates will need to complete both days followed by passing the assessment survey at the end of the second day.
Once passed candidates will be handed a parental consent form to be signed by parents and returned to the centre on their very next climbing session, where they will be issued with a ROCKSTAR+ card that will enable them to climb independently on all future climbing sessions booked.
